Ahhh…
It’s done and I feel at peace. Zen even. I mean, wouldn’t you if you were looking at this?
It’s so fine and lovely and just… ahhh…
Though admittedly I may feel particularly zen because I no longer have to contend with this:
That is the most yarn I have ever packed on such a little spindle. 2 oz of a fine, fine laceweight. I had thought it would fluff up once washed but it hasn’t fluffed up as much as I thought, which suits me fine. I was looking for a nice, drapey yarn.
This is dyed by the talented, wonderful Carrie at Funky Carolina. Merino-silk in ‘Tam’, a colourway that I’ve renamed Paua lite. The colours kind of remind me of a paua shell, but just a tad lighter. It sure shines like one though.
I haven’t decided what this is going to be yet. Perhaps a stole or scarf of some sort. We’ll see. For now I’m just going to sit and admire it.
